SUNDAY WORSHIP

SOUP KITCHEN AT ST. PAUL'S IN EVANSTON
August 31, 2008 - Sunday 1:00 - 4:00 P.M.
Wilmette Lutheran will shop, prepare, and serve the food for the approximately 100 people who gather for the 3 p.m. meal. Please call the church office if you would like to volunteer or contribute.

Fellowship
To see our life together as the primary setting to use the gifts of the Spirit for our foundation that will enable us to reach out in our daily life in the world in peace and fellowship with others. In our journey with and through Jesus Christ, we celebrate community and support people through the challenging personal events of life so we grow in faith and hope and love.

Weekly fellowship following worship service to meet new people, build friendships, connect and create a vibrant community within the congregation.

We warmly welcome you to come and meet others in the congregation in a relaxed setting after worship or at one of the fellowship gatherings:

Special events
Rally Day games and Lobster Fest, Epiphany Smorgasbord, Movie Night, Soup Supper, Easter Breakfast, Beach Worship Picnic, Summer Steak Fry, Swedish Pancake Breakfast. Receptions for special events (Confirmation, Concerts, Community Worship Services. Other possibilities - we are open to new ideas

Men's Discussion Group
Meets at noon on the first and third Thursdays in the bungalow. Men from the community are invited. The topics discussed cover local, state, and national issues. Discussions are led by various members and sometimes guest speakers. Attendees bring their own lunch.
